Anthony Hughes: Managing Director
Anthony has worked in local government for twelve years, starting in Cardiff Council before moving onto a senior management role within Blaenau Gwent County Borough Council, managing Sport, Arts and Culture, Business Support and Youth Services. Prior to this, Anthony worked as a PE Teacher at Cyfarthfa High School in Merthyr Tydfil.
Anthony’s first degree was a BA (Hons) Sport and Human Movements, followed by a PGCE (Physical Education) from the University of Wales, Institute Cardiff. He has since completed an MBA at the University of Glamorgan Business School.
Anthony is a board member for the Skills Active National Executive Committee and in his spare time, coaches a local Under 9 football team and is an active fundraiser for Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma.
Paul Beckett: Finance Director
Originally from Liverpool, Paul attended university in Cardiff and graduated with a BSc in Chemistry and then qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1992. Subsequently Paul has worked in a number of senior management positions in finance departments of various NHS trusts in South Wales.
In 2004, Paul transferred to a company providing outsourced accounting and business services to central Government departments, gaining valuable customer management and private sector commercial experience.
Paul is a keen golfer and also enjoys swimming. In his spare time he helps out at a local hockey club of which his son is a member and recently attended a Ballroom dancing class at Rudry Village Hall.
Nichola Morden-Tew: Human Resources Director
Originally from Abertillery, Nichola now lives in Bargoed and attended university in Pontypridd.
Nichola has 25 years’ experience, which includes supervisory/management in both health & safety and human resource/personnel management in fast moving environments, spanning across several private sector industries including electronics, metal pressing and various plastic moulding.
Nichola's interests include watching athletics, reading and spending time with her family.
