Our state-of-the-art Sports Centres and dedicated Inspire Sports Development team offer a wealth of recreational services and facilities throughout Blaenau Gwent, helping people of all ages and abilities to develop and maintain a more active and healthy lifestyle.

Sports Centres

Sports Development inspire TeamWe have three Sports Centres located around Blaenau Gwent at Abertillery, Ebbw Vale and Tredegar. 

Each of our centres are equipped with state-of-the-art Technogym equipment and offer a varied programme of over 40 fitness classes.  We also have 4 swimming pools, hydroslides, a health suite, squash courts, 3G pitches plus much more!

Not feeling active?  Why not make full use of our Health Suite at Ebbw Vale Sports Centre which includes a Jacuzzi and steam room to help you wind down after a busy day!

Need some help?  Our Sports Centre staff are always on hand to offer you any support or guidance you may need to help you to achieve your goals – so if there’s anything you’d like to know, just ask!

Our team are based at each of our three Sports Centres, delivering dedicated services to provide sport and recreational development in schools, clubs and communities across Blaenau Gwent.

The team assist sustainable community sport, physical activity and healthy recreation in Blaenau Gwent. The team are simply about getting you healthy, more active, more often.

Active Living

A Welsh Assembly funded scheme which aims to introduce the many benefits of physical activity to the people of the local area.

Active Young People

This programme looks at working with young people between the ages of 5 and 19. It is made up of three Sportwales programmes – Dragon Sport, Physical Education, School Sport (PESS) and the 5x60 initiative.

 

At Aneurin Leisure we have a real passion for sport and recreational activities at many levels, providing support in various areas to increase opportunities for all abilities, helping to develop individuals/groups while ensuring constant support is available for a healthier, more productive lifestyle.
