Aneurin Leisure Adult Community Learning provides a wide range of courses for adults aged 16+.  These include Improve your English or maths, basic computer courses and English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL).  All these courses are free of charge – you will only have to pay a membership fee of £5 a year for each centre that you attend and you can join at any time – as long as there is availability. 

There is also a range of courses for those who wish to gain skills to help them gain employment – ICDL (International Computer Driving Licence) is available in all our centres both day and evening and you can join at any time. GCSE courses in English and maths, Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools, counselling, photography and cake decorating courses are available for a September start.

The adult education team at Aneurin Leisure Trust works across a number of projects aimed at developing the employability of Blaenau Gwent’s community. This is achieved through building the knowledge, confidence and experience of participants to support them in their long-term goals. These schemes are supported by the UK Government Shared Prosperity Fund.
