Activities

We have a great range of regular activities each week which are FREE to participate in:

  • Get Blaenau Gwent Online
    Mondays 9.30am - 12pm and 12.30pm - 4pm; providing help and support on any computer related queries including advice on safe surfing, setting up emails, using iPads, online shopping and much more! Suitable for beginners.

  • Work Club
    Tuesdays and Fridays 10am - 12pm; offering help to Job Seekers with job searches, updating CV's and online job applications - no need to book, just drop in.

  • Reading Group
    Every other Tuesday 2.30pm - 3.30pm; if you love to read why not come along and join other library users for a chat about your recent reading choices and share your recommendations.  Contact the library for more information.

  • Toddler Time
    Thursdays 11am - 12pm; join us for a fun range of stories and activities for children under five year of age.

  • Local & Family History
    First Thursday of every month; If you're interested in local history or would like help researching your own family history we can help - contact the library for more information.

  • Knit ‘n’ Natter
    Fridays 10am – 12pm; whether you’re an experienced knitter or a beginner, our weekly sessions provide a relaxed and informal setting where you can knit, crochet, embroider, share patterns, get advice and have a chat.

  • U3A Reading Group
    The University of the Third Age (U3A) reading group meets monthly and is for people who want to keep active in mind and body and are no longer working.  Contact the library for more information.

    We also provide a variety of themed activities throughout the year as well as FREE school holiday activities for children.  For more information on these or on our weekly activities please ask at your local library.
