The Library Ball Network Comes to Blaenau Gwent

We are excited to announce that all of our libraries across Blaenau Gwent have joined the Alive and Kicking Library Ball Network this week.

This means that each of our libraries have footballs (in a range of sizes) that are available to borrow for FREE for members of the community.  Each of the balls are ethically made high quality sports balls produced to FIFA standard and proven to last eight times longer than a standard synthetic ball.

The library ball network is a partnership between the charity Alive and Kicking and Morrisons Foundation.  This allows anyone to borrow a ball for free from a ball library hub and play with it on the surrounding parks, playgrounds and pitches.

Alive and Kicking are the world’s only not for profit ball manufacturer.  Every ball made by the charity helps to give thousands of young people across the globe free access to sport and play.  In addition, the charity create ethical jobs for adults and deliver innovative sport based health programmes.

Every ball borrowed and then returned helps to strengthen Alive and Kicking’s work and message.
