Christmas Multi Sports Playscheme

After successfully securing funding through StreetGames Peer Research project, to address sports participation barriers young people in Blaenau Gwent face, our Sports Development team delivered a Christmas Multi Sports Playscheme at Ebbw Vale Sports Centre on Saturday 16th December.

Children were able to attend the event free of charge and trialled a carousel of football, tennis, netball and basketball activities.

With youth voice being at the heart of the project, the team’s peer researchers gathered insight from the young people who attended the event, to help shape future sporting provisions and expand opportunities offered in Blaenau Gwent.

The team are eager to interpret the insights and provide new opportunities in 2024.
