Cyber Awareness Training

Ebbw Vale Learning Action Centre recently held Cyber Awareness sessions and had the pleasure of meeting Digital Community Support Officer Natalie Evans from Gwent Police. She gave a talk on cyber security and scams to some of the digital literacy learners and tutors based in the Blaenau Gwent area.

Everyone contributed well to the session and many posed questions regarding issues they have encountered - such as scams via telephone, email or text message.

The sessions were very informative and provided plenty of advice on the use of Cyber Action Plans, Password Manager apps and browsers and demonstrated how to use a simple app to check for strong and safe passwords. - Aneurin Leisure would like to thank Natalie for sharing her knowledge with staff and learners.

Karen Bennett, Adult Community Learning Manager for Aneurin Leisure said of the session; "We are pleased to be working in partnership with Gwent Police to raise awareness of the importance of cyber security."
