Family Fun Day at Parc Bryn Bach

As a thank you to our local communities for their support with some recent vandalism at the Parc Bryn Bach we held a free Family Fun Day there on Saturday, 28th October 2024.

As part of the day, we offered 300 free tickets for children to enjoy a range of outdoor activities at the park, including archery, the climbing wall, the cave, go karts, mini golf and pedalos out on the lake.

Visitors to the park also had the opportunity to listen to some live DJ music and enjoy delicious food from our Lake View Café Kiosk and BBQ. Our Aneurin Leisure Trust outreach and engagement team was also on hand, providing information on our wide range of services and facilities, including the Community Kit Room, sports centre memberships, adult community learning, Parc Bryn Bach and Bedwellty House and Park. Families were also treated to a selection of free children’s books in English and Welsh from our libraries service.

Cyclists of all ages were encouraged to bring their bicycles along to see Dr Bike at his free pop up bike repair shop, which was arranged in partnership with Blaenau Gwent Council.

We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who came along to support the event, including our range of partner organisations, and would also like to thank the local community, once again, for their continued support of Parc Bryn Bach.
